Mothers Against Police Brutality

A civil rights organization dedicated to preventing police use of deadly force, particularly the killing of Black people and other people of color. It works to change police deadly force policies and practices, advocates with families who have lost loved ones to police violence, and expands the concept of public safety. This includes new policies that limit encounters between police and the public and make deep social investments in housing, health care, mental health services, employment, education, arts, recreation, and other unmet human needs throughout the United States. It protests unjust policing, organizes communities most impacted, conducts research, and advocates for policy change in local, national, and international forums.
