A national companion animal welfare organization. In addition to running the nation’s largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals, it runs programs to reduce the number of animals entering shelters in the first place. It supports a network of more than 2,000 animal welfare organizations working towards creating no-kill communities, stopping puppy-mill practices, and performing animal advocacy.
